Before you can manipulate ACLs for items on a volume, you must enable extended security support for that volume. The extended security panel in Sandbox contains functions to enable ACLs on any locally mounted volume that supports it.

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Extended Security. The extended security panel will open and display a list of mounted volumes.
  2. Highlight the volume on which you wish to enable ACLs. Review the volume info to ensure you've selected the correct volume.
  3. Click Enable. Barring any error, ACLs will be enabled immediately.
  4. Click Done to close the extended security panel.

Similarly, you can disable ACLs from the extended security panel with the Disable button.
